Brain training exercises are an absolutely excellent way to improve your cognitive abilities, and also keep your brain sharp. There are many different ways that you can exercise your brain, some of them are quite boring, and some of them are more fun. I usually opt for the choice that is more fun, that’s just me. If you want to have fun while you are using brain training exercises, then I highly recommend you have a look at some brain training games. After all, games are fun right?
So what is the best for brain training exercises? Well I have done a little bit of research into this topic, and I have been using what I considered to be the best overall brain training system for over two years now. The brain training system that I recommend, is called lumosity.
I will give you a brief description of what lumosity is about. Lumosity is a brain training system that can be accessed online. It was first developed in 2005, and is a collaboration of both neuroscientific research and Web developers. One of the best things about lumosity, is the fact that every single brain training game is based on neuroscientific research, and is not just made up jibberjab.
Lumosity features many different brain training exercises, each brain training exercise targets a specific cognitive ability, such as memory. Lumosity is constantly adding new brain training games, and also tweaking their system so that their users are as happy as possible. One of the best things that I personally like about this system, is the fact that you are able to track the results of each brain training game that you play over time. This allows you to see how much you have progressed in certain areas. For example, if I wanted to check how much my memory has improved over the last 50 games, I would decide to go into low profile, and then I can see it clearly graphed over time. I find this really excellent, and this is one of the reasons that I continue to use lumosity.
